Do you have a signal generator and oscilloscope? You don't necessarily need to run the coil to tune it. Trying to scope 100A seems rather impractical to me...

I have the signal generator and oscilloscope, will try with the normal method.. I have been had good results putting a wire on the top load to the air, like a spark, simulating the capacitive load of the spark that detune the secondary. With my small DRSSTC this method work good. Is only put a wire in topoload to air with expected spark length when measure the secondary frequency.
