I have a Sony Daily Edition ebook reader here that I've had for about a year. This is the 3G, 7" touch screen model. It has one very minor scratch about .5cm long in the lower center of the screen, but its only visible if you hold the screen at an angle. It doesn't affect viewing at all. The flip cover is included, which has some minor scuffs and scratches from being stored in a drawer (not attached to the reader), but it has never stayed on very well. A little tinkering would fix that right up though.
The Daily Edition and Touch Edition have a few features that are really nice for school use, including a text memo feature, a drawing application, a built in dictionary, image viewer (B&W Only) and an MP3 player. With 3G, it also has a mobile book store. Battery life with 3G turned off is well over 48 hours of actual reading time. I love the reader, it does PDFs (datasheets and downloaded magazines, for instance) better than the Kindle or Nook because of its large screen, but its just a little big and heavy for me to easily carry around, especially while backpacking. I'm looking to downsize a bit, maybe to a Pocket Edition or one of the new up and coming manufacturers.
The stylus, flip cover, sim card, 4GB SD card, and AC charger are included. It retailed for $399 when I bought it, goes for $299 now, and I'll take offers starting at $225.
I'll leave it loaded with my current selection of books, which includes several hundred electronics texts and magazines, mostly in PDF format.
