ELECTRICAL QUIZ 3
This box has two lamps and a single push button. The lamps are labeled A and B. It is connected to a battery source. Lamp A is illuminated and lamp B is not.
When one pushes and holds down the button, lamp B is illuminated and lamp A is off. When the button is released, the lamps return to the previous state.
The lamps are normal 12V filament light bulbs. The button is an SPST, normally open momentary pushbutton.
There are only passive components in box. (No transistors)

As stated battery must supply enough current, dissipation on the resistor would be high but we have what we want ?
Resistor does not need to be of very small value, just needs to be small enough for bulb to light. Assuming other bulb would fry or needs to give same amount of power as first we can just place another resistor in series with it...
If there is a problem of R1 being too high and lighting the bulb B a diode can be used to prevent it, now it will turn off bulb A when shorted but taster will connect B to gnd and it will light up...
Here is real, practical schematic that could be made without high-current or ideal sources...
