I have found Mouser to have a good assortment of enclosures, they start around page 1960 in the catalog. You can find them online as well, but the search is very broken for things like NEMA rating and the like.

Saginaw and hoffman are the two giants in the electrical enclosure world. If they dont have what you need there is a company called enclosures inc that makes anything you can dream up! ;)

Just to prove my point, here's a picture from my first attempt at an x-ray machine. It's the oil container. These pieces of lexan are held together with nothing more than PVC cement and that piece of tape.
Completely watertight, and lexan is really hard to break. Light too, this whole thing weighs only about 400 grams.
