Hello everyone, I have been lurking here for a while, and decided to make my first post! Anyway, this is my ZVS Driver and what parts I used, input power supply, output results etc...

Parts:
Main Inductor pulled from old ATX PSU, coated Iron Core toroid, aprox 17 turns 10 amp.
Tank Capacitor pulled from dead Box Fan, rated at 250v 2uF.
2x 12v zeners
2x BYV series sintered glass fast recovery diodes
2x Nothing Special 3 watt 470 ohms resistors
2x Nothing special 1/4 watt 10k ohm resistors
2x 0N05HD MOSFETs - 50v, 60amp, 0.014 mohm RDS(on) underrated I know but they keep on ticking, it's what I had on hand
2x TO220/TO247 AL Heatsinks pulled from dead ATX PSU
1x mini Radio Shack prototype PCB
1x Yellow LED+resistor
12 AWG automotive wire for leads & primary + Alligator Clips for leads/primaries

I also have a small Filter near the input power side which is just to filter any back EMF, which is just a small inductor and a 2700uF 35v cap.

I power it with two re purposed ATX PC power supplies with 12v rail @17 amps each in series for aprox. 24v @ 17 amps for 408 watts.

The flyback came from an old 15 Inch CRT monitor I believe, I have so many flyback transformers lying around I don't remember which ones came from color TVs or monitors.

Here are some pics of my setup...

I added another PP Cap and inductor for shits and giggles, it didn't change the output much. I am going to replace the 50v MOSFETS with IRFP264s because I don't trust them even though I have tortured them with 34v input for several minutes with no failures.

Here are some videos of the output, I have a multimeter in current mode (10 Amp range) in series with the input power to show real time load. Please forgive the odd angle of the video, I wasn't paying enough attention when filming!

In this first video I am using a small ceramic plate as a backdrop for the arc to get it to lye down... It worked for a while, eventually the plate exploded from the heat... Whoops!

In this second video, I have replaced the broken dish with a stone hot plate (for placing hot pans on and not melting your counter top). In both videos the driver pulls on average about 15 amps and peaks at 17 amps (which is the limit of the supply). When the arc extinguishes, the driver pulls in excess of 19 amps and trips one or both PSUs.

I also made a ZVS Flyback simulation video a while back that wasn't exactly dead on due to my difficulty in getting the simulator to run at a decent speed. I have since made a newer video which I believe shows the circuit running correctly now.

Hope this information is useful to someone :)
