chop or not secondary coil

 		hi my coilers im new here @ 4hv :)

my friend gave me his old secondary coil, not that old as ive seen it though, still shiny, with 6" former pvc pipe, #21AWG wire wounded up to 39" to the pvc. as i calculated the ratio is 1:6.5 and 1300+turns

Is it worth enough to chop it down to 1.4-1.5?
cuz i read a lot of articles regarding the design of secondary coil said that it must be not exceed 1:5 ratio.
btw, im using 4kw transformer supply (DC ResoChar TC)
