What a lot of people do is ask around local camera stores for used disposable cameras and then parallel those to meet their needs. If you haven't already tried this, I recommend it, as paralleled capacitors can provide high currents with less stress on each individual capacitor. Disposable cameras usually have an 80uF to 120uF capacitor built in, with a 300V rating.

In my day I found $10 worth of bribery would get me a healthy stock of used disposable cameras that I could tear apart for capacitors galore. Just be sure to discharge them before handling!

Hope I helped.

Why do you need the caps from amazing1? I'm sure you can find some suitable ones much cheaper in Germany, like this Link2 for example.

Bgmicro has big caps for $5 each. Amazing 1 is extremely overpriced.

On ebay cm they cost twice as much as on amazing1.
I want flash caps, because they have low ESR and are very compact...plus they have just the right voltage.

The caps I linked to also have four times the energy of the amazing1 caps, and almost the same voltage rating. And they probably have much lower ESR as well.

Well they are bigger. And I believe flash caps has very low ESR....and the dimensions are very important. Checked out my new coilgun? I am low on space on all my projects you know.

So could anyone with a VISA order some caps for me? Payment wia paypal...express shipping to Germany...
