Hi all,
Here is a Steve"DRSSTC-1"(driver and H-bridge) schematic. I wanna know if I use same ferrite core as GDTs and CTs at the same case, is it appropriate or incongruity? The ferrite core is shown below.

thanks.:-)

Requirements for GDT and CT are pretty much identical
- close-coupling/low-leakage and reasonable volts/turn.

This is best with the highest permeability core that you can get,
the core you linked to is material N87, Ur=2200 which is suficient
the n30 is better but there's not much in it.
(I haven't tried the other two ferrite types
so no comment other than check datasheets for the materials)

The core that you have chosen is quite large,
nothing wrong with that, just un-neccesary cost,
I'd go for 1/2" to 1" dia (12 to 25 mm)- whatever size fits the required number of turns per winding in a single layer.
Use twisted-pair windings for the GDT, almost as good as mini co-ax.

Triad also makes some nice inexpensive current transformers that work to at least 500A peak current. They are Triad CST series. About $6.00 bucks and you don't have to wind your own which makes them real nice.

Thanks all, and I would like to use 60N60 IGBT instead, does it increase the power level? (input voltage constant)

Take a look at the data sheet it will tell you all you need to know.

The general thought with these parts is don't run them any higher than 500A to be on the safe side. 700A or higher is almost always death for these parts. Although the 40N60s seem to have low ratings than the 60N60, the 40N60s can run at 1000A reliably. The catch is that the 40N60s are very hard to find, as they are no longer made. Peak current rating is also dependent on the duty cycle you run them at, they will take a higher peak current at lower duty cycles.
