All these cool audio modulated sstc vids make me want to learn ho to play an instrument, but there's no way I possibly could. I can't even play guitar hero let alone a guitar. Hell I even messed up the triangle in 5th grade.

You could buy a Casio keyboard with lighted keys, that
shows you what key to press to play about 50 songs. They
cost about $300. 7 years ago, so Craigslist will have some cheap.

C. Be clear and concise. Do not type ALL IN CAPS, do not use 1337-5p33k, and do not type everything in long run on sentences with no breaks or punctuation because theyre very hard to follow along with and we all dont like them. :) :o ::) ??? :-[ :P ;D :D ;) If you have a problem with spelling, spell-check your posts.

Lately your posting quality has gone down hill dramatically and some of the moderators are getting tired of it. Pull yourself together and do something positive instead of complaining about everyone and everything.

I'm sorry, when you have to copy and paste letters writing a long post is tough.

I had one of those casio light up kbs, didn't help one bit.

You can close this tread, not sure why I even made it.

Damn - I really need how to read the WHOLE thread.

I wrote this paragraph about how I learned at 32yrs old; That's about 26yrs go & I'm still enjoying the shit out of a bunch of instruments but I didn't catch the fact that you really weren't interested in learning. ....So delete, delete, delete....

I read it in an email, and it as quite inspirational. I may try again sometime in the future.

What about one of those sampling programs?

Not quite the same thing, but there are plenty of free ones about.

Even you should be able to program it to play a tune cheesey

There is a wonderful correlation between music and math (not necessarily arithmetic but math as a generality). There is also a passion that comes from beginning to express oneself outside the spoken word. It's almost a private method of writing a poem in one's heart.
Speaking only for myself; it's a very private thing & it DOES take some real study and practice. But when something is really worth doing; very little would stand in one's way. Almost everyone can search their memory & find things they've done that they had to really apply themselves to & the rewards were way beyond what comes with very little sweat and work.

The first time you play something that entertains you, many people often feel a certain joy and fun. But the first time you play just for yourself & enough emotion goes into it to bring either laughter or tears: that's music!
I believe this is a truth with quite a few things in life.
