Does anyone know of an 8 minute song that youtube won't block, a slow one like stairway to heaven?

I am just really surprised youtube would go though great lengths and block any unauthorized materials they hear or see. Unless they got some very clever bots that can watch and listen every youtube vids.

A while ago, I uploaded an prototype of my plasma speaker using an least know song I could find. Even they blocked that in quite a few countries as well.. frown

My best bet is use one of youtube's crappy songs.

I'll try pink floyd's comfortably numb, maybe they won't block that.

They scan them with music recognition software. I am so sick of the music industry bumraping everyone. This is one of the reasons I don't buy msic,

I guess it just depends on what music you are looking for, but there is some music that i like on audioswap. That is why i use (and thoroughly overuse) songs from 009 Sound System. I have one of their songs on 2-3 of my videos.

PS, i think it should be made illegal to say rape unless it is used in a litteral sense, sure it is stripping even more of our rights, but if saying rape is right, i'd rather be wrong. Half of the people i know have been sexually abused, so lets just leave all the r43psp34ck for 4chan incase we hurt someone's feeling D-:

Youtube actually uses automated algorithms to search for copyrighted material - in the same way Shazaam works.

However, they don't block everything. If you song's rights are owned by Warner Music or Sony, it will likely be muted and/or blocked completely. However, other publishers music work fine and some will just put an ad to the copyright music on your video.

Or just pick a real crappy dance #1 hit like Kesha which i have in my video here of one of my Class-E audio coils.

The speed and accuracy of modern music recognition software are funded by phone-app and music sales opportunites, not just the anti-piracy market. For example, Midomi recognizes any buy-able tune and hooks you up with opportunities to purchase it by clicking. Link2
