Not to burst your bubble, but i am going to take a wild guess and say these are the ceramic disk caps. A few of these would not be able to handle the current involved in a tank circuit in a vttc with a 2.5kw triode. With a single 811A it takes a meaty doorknob cap, which still gets hot. And the 811A is about 1/5 the rated dissipation of this tube.

What would you power this with? Got a pole pig? Man, i wish i had a tube like that, i have the pole pig for it tongue. 50kw, a bit on the big side...

You can 'roll your own'.

There must be instructions here somewhere.

Use aluminium kitchen foil and polythene rubble sacks (the thick ones, but not re-cycled ones, the quality isn't as good.

The smallast I've made were 20 nanofarad, so 1 or 1.5 will be pretty small.

Let me know if you want more info.

actuality its a 3.5kw triode cheesey

and these caps are not ceramic disk they look like this Link2,r:6,s:0&tx=149&ty=71

these are not the caps i bought but that is the size they were, I also thought it would be fun to but a resonant capacitor on the +hv side of the flyback on my zvs tongue

when i first light this thing up i'm gonna use 1 mot w/ doubler, then 2 mots in parrelel w/ doubler, i'm gonna go up to 4 in parrelel i think cheesey

MATT PLEASE DON'T RUB IT IN MY FACE I KNOW YOU HAVE A POLE PIG cry

I'm building one, i have all the parts i just need to make a winding jig!
