A future project of mine will be a large memory board filled with LEDs. It'll be ram for a microcontroller or something and you'll be able to see all the bits changing. Should be both cool and a PITA to get working.

I would have to say parallel 'em up with some sharing resistors and make a ridiculous variable linear supply. With all 60, you could make a 24kw variable supply :P. Up to 80v or whatever output and very many amps . I would love to have a regulated supply like that.

heh. If anyone is interested I have a fairly nice 10A variable supply, dual channel. Unfortunately the person who had it before me tried to run a 110V PS on 240V and it didn't like it. I think he used a stepdown but the wiring is a bit strange and stupidly i didn't take pictures so can't get it working again. -A
(Grenadier, what about rewinding a MOT with bad secondary, using some of that OFC flat speaker cable I have sitting around here?)

Do you think that could serve as a 16K memory for my Sinclair Z81 computer which has only 1 K of memory. (Just enough for it to remember how to be a doorstop because of its wedge shape)
