I was able to get a good 300mhz tektronix crt scope for only $120 at a corporate bankruptcy auction. It came up after some very nice DSOs and no one seemed to want it much. You can look online for auctions like that in your area. You may have to wait for it, but you can get a great deal.

Thats what i mean theres a schematic for a hollow state oscilloscope, theres one for a solid state too.

Yes I learned something when i read that, I never new when using vacuum tubes it was called hollow state
