On a carpet, no less. Cant wait to see the results... by the way these solder joints are silver or lead... i would put the whole thing on a pan of gas or acetone: the toasts will go up alright... Please post photos of the "first light"....

Ahh but the great thing about our model two toaster is that it has no pesky opaque sides. This allows the operator to enjoy a warm incandescent glow as the toaster is doing its job. This safety feature allows for hassle free toasting at night.

Just looking at the toaster under a close scrutiny and remembering you were wondering a while ago what to do with a 200 watt rheostat, was that the source of the wire in the element?'

No, here at teravolt toaster LLC we have our resistance wire specially imported from Russia.
Also, due to exigent circumstances the the laboratory testing of this toaster is to be delayed. We are sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused you.

Got to love your model 1, simplicity at work. Reminds me of the hotdog cooker with a nail at each end, directly fed by the mains. Actually worked too. Once you dig up from the white stuff do post results!
Perhaps I should post a picture of my UHV turbopump toasting system. I cant rival your elegant design simplicity however!

It works!
But it at most gives the toast a light browning; I need to add something to keep all that heat in. Sure is cozy to sit next to though. How would I go about selling this at sears?
