Hi i'm new...i'm italian and I've got a problem :
i bought a 4b/550e tube for a vttc , a pulse modulator tetrode but I didn't find the datasheet....
Can you help me?
This is my third vttc , the first was made with a pl500 and the second with a 1625 ( similar to 807) and the sparks were about 4 cm...

Do you have a picture of the tube? My first guess would be something similar to the 4PR60c which has a readily available data sheet. A picture would really help. You can figure out the filament current/voltage with a multimeter. Their is only a few common filament voltages. And most of the specks for the pulse modulator tetrodes are relatively the same. You don't need plate curves or anything fancy for a vttc.

If you found all the specks for it you should be fine then it looks like the earlier generation tubes before the 4-60c as they changed the envelope style. I would guess around 50 watts of plate dissipation, though you will proubaly just run it till the plate gets hot though. Is this a new tube, or a pull/used tube? The pulse modulator tubes had a short lifetime which they were rather low on emissions after.

I think it's used...but i try to do with this tube a vttc..and with at low power , without a mot...the sparks were about 5 cm in air and 7 to the ground....
but if i tune the lc circuit with the secondari and i use a mot...the sparks will be very long....
The plate dissipation is about 55w ...because de 55 after / in the name indicate that this tube has got 55w dissipation...
( sorry for my english)
