Yes, I've done it a few times as per Grenadiers link (There you'll find the link to my videos.) The volume isn't startling, but it is clear and crisp. I made them as curiosities and to demonstrate to a classroom of schoolkids, an alternative to a speaker when they were doing a science class involving sound. (They were 8 year olds an non critical of the design :o) ) Cheers.
