Check the datasheets... Neither is 'better', it depends how it's used. Read the rules, you should always do your homework before starting a thread, which it's obvious you have not.

UH OH! moderators have mercy this should have been under tesla coils
becuase i wanna use this for a vttc.
any ways this i found out this tube can take 3.5kw
and the gu-81m can only take 700watts
but the price is way bigger too, i need to find 1 cheap, but i'll buy it and make a kick but tc,
I figure if i'm gonna spend lots of $ better get something better!
