Ive had this stuff for awhile, and have wasted quite a bit until I found out it was worth quite a bit...
What I have left:
5.7g of .01" diameter pure platinum wire. That equates to roughly 205 inches
4.3g of .015" diameter 90% platinum and 10% Rhodium wire.

Current platinum prices puts the first one at roughly $300. Omega sells the 10% rhodium for ~$35 an inch!

send me an offer (if someone here happens to need thermocouple wire...)!

EDIT: ~72.5" of the 10%.

Where did you find such a thing? Forget thermocouples, make a fuel cell!

Don't know, had it for a while. I knew it was platinum, but when I looked it up, I saw $10 and $37. I didn't think much of it, than I saw it was per inch today...

Im done with fuel cells after some very bad chemical burns a couple years back :)

If my prices are correct, that is 2000$ for the 10% and 300$ for the pure platinum (based on market prices today) :O
Not that im hoping to get that much :)

You can make HHO fuel cells with that stuff though, no caustic chems needed. Like so;

You can do a better job though with all that wire. Make wire mesh electrodes.

Nah, got lots going on. Plus, it would feel wasteful :) Probably will just give it to my school.

Do you have that temperature controller from your for sale post still, and the variac? Ile trade you some of each wire for those (may as well make a thermocouple out of it!)

I still have the temp controller, but I'm going to use the variac for my x-ray.

Cool!

How does 5" of the 10% and a foot of the 100% for the controller sound? Ile send you the rest if I decide to give it away.

2 feet of the 100% and it's a deal. I don't need the rhodium one, platinum is nonreactive enough for me.

And it would just be a wonderful day for me if you decide to give it away sometime.
