My SSTC was drawing 2100W from the 115V receptacle in CW, and the mosfets never got past warm. I used 40N30 mosfets, but my drive to the gates was good, and it was a self tuning 74HC14 driver which makes for better switching transitions then a closed loop design. I did have an interrupter though, and I think that is a must for SSTCs- its a lot of fun to play around with the settings, and to be able to control it remotely varying the pulse width, off time... Looks nice though, keep it up!!

74HC4046 is very sensitive, current transformer can "feel" my hand amazed
I am thinking about interrupter with overcurrent protection, is it nesesere in SSTC ?
Because i very frequently kill mosfet's cry
Using this driver with my tesla coil secundary and primary connected to this bord, it's generate ~2cm spark, so with 311V will be 25 greiter amazed

25 times greater, the relation isn't linear

But if i have with half-bridge 35cm sparks, so with full-bridge i get more than 50cm :)
and other question, GDT should be close as it's possible near mosfets???
and what is the best winding of GDT, becase i all te time winding like this

overcurrent protection:
Here i find overcurrent protection circuit, is good for me ? Because it was using in DRSSTC wich pulsed is 300A, and mine mosfets are 20A...(i whant, that mine coil don't run more than 2000W )

for sure its possible to use this circuit to sense 20A or so. you have to change the resistor value R5 to something around 100ohms or so.

but i dont recommend this circuit cause ive had some weird problems with it. so if you use a normal ne555 and you test the overcurrent protection circuit the irf630 stays on all the time after the overcurrent tripped. with a tlc555 it works like it should.
this circuit is exactly what steve ward used in his drsstc guide.
i simulated it and had similar problems in simulation. you should add a 100nF capacitor in the track between pin 7 of lm311 and pin 2 of ne 555. a 1 k resistor from pin2 of ne 555 to +15V. add a 47ohms resistor on gate of irf630 mosfet if you use a tlc555, otherwise the overcurrent led stays off all the time.

sorry, but its a crap circuit and ive had many problems, with it. with this changes it works, but its far away from "exact" ...
you should read some ti application notes. there are many papers out there with good overcurrent circuits for smps use.
im developing a overcurrent circuit at the moment which rectifies the ct output via a precision rectifier circuit etc. so it should be very accurate. we´ll see.

NE555 i can change to TS555, and R5 to regulating 500 om rezistor..
and what about GTD driver ? does mine windig is good? or can be beter ?
and IRF630 i thinking to change to BS170

tomorrow i will get heat sink, and power supply toroid smile
and other great news, i start to put all pcb into the box smile
and can someone show SMPS overcurrent protection, without current transformers, maybe 0,01om resistor confused

Looks nice. Over-current protection on a bridge using a resistor is problematic because the current is AC. A transformer is the logical way to go.
