I (or rather, my brother) recently tripped upon some rather silly, humorous videos of a Wii game called Super Smash Bros. Brawl being modified. They mixed a character with another character's 'move set', like in this video: Link2

Basically, there are a bunch of programs you have to upload to the Wii system, from the computer via an SSD card.

I am not sure if this is 'common practice' or not, but if anyone does in fact know how this is done, i am having trouble getting a Wii app called 'homebrew browser' to do what i want. I have the homebrew channel working, and the browser boots, but it will not go any further. The menu of the assorted apps you can download never comes up, only the boot screen. The error i am getting is read error -116. Every 15-30 minutes it retries, and fails. I am thinking the website Link2 is down, which is where the apps i want to download are from.

If any of this makes sense to you, and you know what i did wrong, i would greatly appreciate a word of advice!

I found this error code chart:

Link2

it says -116 means that the program that needs an internet connection cannot find one or it is too limited to use - it lists a reference to a solution (the first one being to make sure you have Homebrew 1.0+)
