WOW! I'm afraid for all my technology when I run my coil 20feet from my house, how well do your electronics hold up to that kind of electrical noise? BTW that is one of the most amazing photos I'v seen.

The glowing between those pipes and the carpet only occurs during arcing. They pipes are actually PVC scrap wrapped with aluminum tape. And its actually only one pipe, i moved it around from shot to shot.
As far as the technique goes . . .
1. Take several shots on a tripod using same exposure. Take as many as you need.
2. Load the images in Photoshop
3. Copy each image, and paste is as a NEW LAYER in photoshop.
4. Now, for EACH layer, use the LIGHTEN BLEND method on the layer palette. This will basically keep the background unchanged and only add the "light" colors (i.e. arcs) in the image
5. Once its complete, then FLATTEN layers and export to your favorite image format.

Wow! Did you get any little burns on the walls from that? I had a little SGTC striking the wooden footboard of my bed once, it lit up orange but no visible burns. It was nowhere near that power, though!

Thanks. Yeah, i get lots of little pinhole burns in the drywall. No big deal since this is just a storage room. As far as electronics go, i actually have a computer right behind me in those photos which is about 10 feet back from the coil. Never have any problems.
