The acrylic is my favorite part. I hate using that stuff and yet you make it look so easy. I'm jelous. shades I am especially jelous of that nice collar you have over the primary. Does that prevent sparks arcing from the primary to the middle of the secondary, or is it meant to stop direct primary strikes? I know I have had issues when I increase coupling I tend to get primary to mid secondary strikes. A nice acrylic collar might do the trick. Hmmmm.
One more question while we are at it. Where or how did you make those toploads? They look great!

Plexiglas should be completely transparent to any fields created by the primary coil. Doesn't matter how thick it is.

At DRSSTC frequencies, transparent yes... but admittedly into the tens of megahertz, you'd worry about dielectric losses though, right?
