I am signed up for IC Master, I haven't used it in ages. I usually put the part# in the google bar, and amost always get results. Alldatasheet and datasheetarchive are the best I can remember at the moment. Like he said.

I would say that 99% of all ICs does not turn up in google but most of the current and most used ones does. A few good old reference books is hard to beat.

I tried it on a few chips I had on my desk and it found all of them but the search enigne requires you to enter the part number exactly as they have it in the database. That means that writing it as it is written on the chip may not be good enough.
The good thing was that all the links returned were correct and not 1000 pages of spam like google returns on some part numbers.
