Hi all.

Looks like I acquired three broken POS systems based on the Pentium 233MHz CPU. These contain a flat panel interface and touch screen, and (even better) both panels appear to be intact. They need 24V at 3A.

Does anyone have a use for these? I probably wont be able to ship 'em international but the mainboards only weigh about 700g each..

Regards, -A

pics to come, I have to empty my camera's xD card.

I would love those, but alas I am in the U.S.
I would have a few uses, like a universal interface for some of my low voltage projects, a networked monitor with a keyboard and mouse attached and run through WiFi (sorta like VNC), and more B)

cool :)

btw they use a 12.1" LCD screen, however the only intact one has "Broken" written on a Post-it note. I found that this one has the Pentium 90 chip, and it had come loose from the socket.

I have so far:- Two virtually intact touch screens and panels, one full set of screen and backlighting cables, also have checked and I may have a spare compatible Compaq LCD screen too.

I am aware that on Ebay you can obtain an EEE modkit which contains a small USB-enabled PCB and touch panel. This might be feasible if all three boards are DOA, to use those panels as part of a touch interface.

Dajjhman, if you need one PCB and LCD/touch panel, and you are happy to pay postage estimated at around 28 UKP, I can send you one.

UPDATE:- the mainboard were trashed, however the screens and backlights and touch panels look OK.#

Regards, -A
