I just noticed that on my notebook LCD display, with certain (darker) backgrounds there is a kind of pattern "rolling" horizontally across the display. It's like checkerboard with the "fields" 1x2 pixels big, I think it's somehow relatoed to the refresh rate. It does not bother me too much but I notice it quite often.
I'm trying to find out if most displays do this or just certain ones (LCD on my old notebook is fine) and why is this (what is it caused by).
I've attached a picture that contains test patterns of 1x2 and 1x1 pixels. Can you please display the test picture (pixel by pixel) and tell me if any part of it flashes noticably on your LCD?

bottom left totally flashes on my Emachine M5410. Also the two on the right seems to have some sort of horizontal lines, donno if they are moving or stationary.
