Pictures work fine here (Opera).
Great SSTC Reaching, looks like a commercial product! The discrete GDT driver is an excellent idea, how high of frequencies can it be run at? The parts count is low as well, so its a great substitute for a driving IC. I've been thinking of using something similar for my SSTC.

thanks steve, my site is the biggest hv community here in germany with over 260 members
i´ve tested the discrete driver up to 1mhz with good results, but i think thats not the maximum. with a similar testsetup i was able to drive a small irg4bc20ud igbt with 4 mhz with a crystal oscillator. the coil is running pretty well and within the whole setup and testing time no blown parts. the only disadvantage is that you have to use a 1:2 gdt or more to get the gate voltage you need, but maybe you can supply the discrete driver with more than 15 volts to solve this.
yeah and i wanted it to look professional cause i play with the thought to sell some, maybe
its a lot of fun to play around with this coil, dont know why i never saw a halfwave interruptet sstc before but its one of the coolest things, it sounds like a bass guitar or a scream or anything you want, just throw the knobs around and see what happens. long thick sword like streamers or thin small noisy ones or a 140bpm base discharge, hehe a nice toy
in the later version of this coil i want to add a switch for CW and Interrupted mode, its already on the pcb but i was to fast and forgot to add the switch on my front
Update
made a few changes on my design, added a 1,5µF capacitor in series to the gdt primary, changed the irfp460s with 30g60kd igbts and added a 220pf capacitor to the oscillator, now the sparklenght is nearly doubled ... pics coming soon
