Id like to research and begin compiling a list of properties of the 3D printable filaments available. PVC plastic for example can be induction "welded" (fused really) though I don't know of an example of PVC filament. This would show a PVC 3D printed transformer bobbin could melt itself.

So dielectric constant, Volts per mil, temperatures and other physical and chemical properties might be useful to know.

List of plastics begin / h

PLA
ABS
PETG
Nylon
PVA
PET
HIPPS
PETT

I don't have any measurements but I expect you would have to rather significantly de-rate the breakdown voltage of any FDM printed plastic due to porosity. SLA based resin printers can print with less porosity but its hard to track down electrical data on the resins.

Also, here and in another recent post you referred to induction heating of plastic. Are you talking about dielectric heating? Typically materials have to be conductive for induction heating.

When a student of mine had built a 3-MHz class-E Teslacoil, the 3D-printes (ABS) coil formers melted (not due to hot wire) thats all i can contribute. ABS is far from lossless even at low HF-frequency.

Yes thats exactly what i mean with plastics like ABS and PVC.
