Has anyone ever had any luck getting parts from Franceformer? I have a 15/60 that broke a bushing in shipping. I can probably "rig" it to work without the bushing, but I'd really like to get it back to the way it's supposed to be. I opened the case last night and had a surprisingly easy time getting the broken bits of insulator out of the case. It looks like a new one would just insert and do a 1/4 turn to lock in to place - then reflow the tar as needed, which I could probably do with a heat gun.

The last time I talked to Franceformer they were pretty nice and helpful, just give them a call and see what they say. They might send you one as a 'sample', I don't know, but the real thing to do here is call them up and see what they can do for you.

Thanks. I'll give it a whirl and post the results! I'm a little afraid that they'll tell me their transformers are non-serviceable, but I have a friend at a neon shop who could probably give me a dead Franceformer if worse comes to worse.

let me see if I can find my Franceformer in the next few days, I may sell it to you for the cost of shipping.

Hey Patrick, thanks for the offer! I may take you up on that. Don't bend over backwards to find it just yet - I know a neon guy who might have a burned out one laying around.

One thing to clarify is that this bushing is the newer, smaller type with 3 "ribs". Not the older, chunkier ones.

Oh and I called Franceformer today. They were very friendly and answered the phone on the first ring. Unfortunately, they do not sell bushings separately.
