Electrostatic demonstration: dancing hollow glass sphere

Hi

I have done the well known electrostatic experiment of a dancing hollow glass sphere between a metal plate and a charged metal ring:

But due to the non complete spherical mass distribution of the hollow glass sphere the performance of this experiment is not as expected.
Please has somebody a source from where I could get hollow glass spheres with a much better quality?

My version of this device uses a conductive sphere and a conductive base with an insulating layer over it. Link2

In your version your sphere is moving around with almost constant speed around the inner circle of the ring.
In my version, due to the more or less insulating hollow glass sphere, the sphere is sometimes moving hardly to predict.
A table tennis ball is not working.

I will record the electrostatic dancing hollow glass sphere as soon as possible.
But I need help to post such a video.
Is there a description available how to do this?

Please, still open is the question:
Has anybody a source for high quality hollow glass spheres?

I think that this device requires an at least partially conductive sphere. The sphere moves due to repulsion between itself and charges that it deposits in the insulating layer at the base. Glass may have enough conductivity to work. A plastic ball really does not work.
