Hello, This may sound like a silly question but I need help changing the font used by arduino and basic stamp 2 software. See images circled in red.
I can't figure out if it's a Java font error or something with the basic settings of the OS. I'm running windows vista home premium on an old dell latitude laptop.

I have this issue with Java in general on many Windows systemc. Sometimes disabling Window's ClearType Font can help, but not always and it is a system wide config.

You solved my problem. Thank you very much. I went into settings an turned on clear type smoothing. Not sure how it was turned off but it's working great.

Glad it worked, but for future reference check if any Java updates or refreshes will remove the problem with cleartype enabled. Just easier on the eyes for most things, so just make a mental note to check it after future updates.
