Sodium borohydrire is an interesting hydrogen carrier, while sodium persulphatre a powerful oxidizer. In solid state the blend is quite stable, but must be kept clear from moisture since it is highly hygroscopic and reacts in water solvent (producing steam if the water is limiting, sulphate and metaborates). It is highly flammable producing a blight flame with some molten salts showering from the reaction. Also the reaction produces copious amount of steam and some elemental sulphur crystals (some seems to be burned back to SO2, judging from the smell), as well as metaborates and sulphates. If confined slightlky it produces a flame with a steam jet. Didn't tried to confine it more, didn't want an explosion. THe nature of the exaust and the copious steam amounts make me think it can be used as a (very expensive) rocket fuel. Anyone tried this?
