I have not tried any other fuels yet, I will try MAPP gas and propane today. The problem with propane / mapp gass is that they don't have a quick enough flame front so they wont run a small pulse jet.

just remember as with any compressed fuel, use a backflash valve to keep yourself safe. You don't want the flame following down the fuel line and detonating the cylinder.

Using acetylene might do the trick on my pulsejets. Whereas I actually made them just for learning hard-soldering (I've used 900° solder so it wont melt away immediately...)
