Automatic Partitioning?

I just wanted to know if anyone knows what the heck might have happened to my computer.
It was making a lot of funny sounds one day, like maybe I suddenly had a bad sector or problem with the hard drive,
next thing you know there is a Z partition on the drive and I don't have any access to it, what is going on here?
Is this a stealth attack by a hacker? or worse, Microsoft? I can't get properties of the drive, it is concealing this and who the active party is.
Please let me know, I am concerned for my privacy.

I used system restore and wiped it out.
I suspect its part of a forced Win 10 update
