Electrostatic demonstrations: electric field lines of a plate capacitor



The voltage of a high voltage power supply with a maximum of 18 kV is applied to the panel capacitor.
The field lines of this plate capacitor are visible by the presence of semolina grains in castor oil, which are in a massive plexiglass box.
After the experiment the semolina grains are stirred with the aid of a small white bar magnet, so that they are almost brought into a random distribution again.
