Function generator for tesla coil use

I came across this function generator on ebay and was wondering if it was a good bang for my buck or if I would be better of buying a different function generator. If so, which one should I buy? I don't want to spend much more than €100.

The instrument seem to have some good features, but nothing that can not be done by hand and I really prefer dials over up/down buttons for much of my testing. But it all depends on what you are doing, which is why I got one of each :)

If it is just for testing drivers, you can easily do with a couple of 555 or TL494 timer circuits and a oscilloscope. Even for secondary testing you could add a transistor output for more output power.

I usually use a 555 timer for feedback to the driver when testing and a signal generator on the OCD input.

I got these two good old instruments.

Thanks for your reply,
I prefer dials too. That's why I chose this specific function generator. I think I'll just buy this one and build a simple 555 circuit so I can use it until this function generator has been delivered or if I need two at the same time.
