Question about digital PC based oscilloscopes

Are any of these any good? E.G. The Hantek ones you see on ebay?
I saw one guy on youtube unbox one and he was saying that there was poor synchronization between the device and Windows.

It depends on what you need it for.
Dave from the EEVBlog has done a review on many scopes, including the Hantek scope I believe.
Yes, the scope will work but it does not compare to a 'real' bench oscilloscope. You can find very good analog cathode ray oscilloscopes on eBay for $50 to $100. Or if you have a little more money I know Loneoceans highly recommends the Rigol 1000 series, specifically the 1074z
But in the end, if the scope fills all of your needs then it's a good scope.

Are the scope probes interchangeable on different makes of analog scopes?
E.G. Can you use a tetronix probe in a trio etc?

Yes, usually they use a standard BNC connector.

I ended up getting a hold of a free analog oscilloscope to muck about with for a while.
The young fellow at the local Jaycar mentioned that he got hold of one from his school Deakin University.
So I asked at Latrobe University if there were any old school devices that they were disposing of.
And I got an email from a lecturer that he had on old one that he could not bring himself to bin and was waiting for some one like me.
It is an OS-25A. It has valves inside but it still seems work even though I have been using a crappy home made probe.
I have not been able to find a manual for the exact model so I have no clue what band width it is.
Does any one know? And can anyone point me in the direction of a manual for the device.
