ac flyback + voltage multiplier for powering X-ray tube?

hi,

i recently had a closer look at a board from an old TV that i had, and noticed that it has an AC flyback and voltage multiplier (possibly tripler?) haha, unfortunately the whole flyback is covered in rubber so i cannot wind my own primary, but i can use its existing primary, by making an isolating transformer for the ZVS and connecting the fbt to the output of this (since the existing fbt primary is not center tapped, and probably not suitable, i cannot use it directly with the zvs), at 12V input to the zvs, the output of the multiplier is 25KV, however i have no way to measure HV AC but if the multiplier is a tripler, then the AC voltage will be around 8kV, so the thing is, could i use a 10 stage CW multiplier to boost this voltage to 80KV, and then use this to power an "xray tube" (aka 2X2A, see this link Link2
i was thinking of using capacitors like these Link2 and diodes like these Link2 ,

do you think that the tiny amount of power that this could supply, together with corona losses and voltage drop across diodes, would be suitable for x-ray generation?

thanks in adv., alf.

Yes I think you could. This may be helpful: Link2
However I would give the capacitors and diodes a little more headroom, i.e. 20kV rated components instead of 10kV.

I have already done almost exactly this.
Although we used a regular DC-flyback with shorted diodes.
I believe we got it to output 5kV RMS with a ZVS driver, which in turn powered a 6 stage multiplier.
I put the multiplier in a PVC-tube which I then filled with oil.
70kV DC may not sound as much in a forum like this but it's stupid, in an open oil bath it pumped the oil around and made it creep up cables in defiance of gravity. So make sure to insulate properly.

I used these components IRC:

And got these results: Link2

Enjoy and start collecting lots of lead, you'll need it :)

ooh epic, thanks you your replies :D
im gonna try making the capacitors xD
