The magnifier configuration might be tricky to optimise. What is the effective coupling of your system? I think you can calculate this as k12 * (L2/(L2+L3)) although I might have missed a square root somewhere.

coupling coefficient of 0.3, we are very poor
necessary to alter magnifer cry

So k12 is 0.3? The coupling between primary and secondary?

What are the inductances of your secondary and tertiary coils?

That is awesome - what a cool display. Just love the abandoned building setting - so much better than our garages frown Keep the videos coming.

next start MUSHROOM DRSSTC
somewhere around the resonance cheesey
current primary 6kA
power input approximately 28 kW
this is not the maximum burst (punches magnifer)
geee... what kind of of IGBT bricks you use for peak currents 6000 A and how many of them in parallel? Nice monster smile

There is pictures of both IGBT type number and number of bricks used in the first post.

I haven't been in here for long time, but loving this coil!

The magnifier really lends itself to keeping the electronics out of the way and a safer build all round.

I also have a personal love of magnifiers ;)
