The 2X2 and 2X2A high voltage rectifiers are quite popular as X-ray sources, and usually cheap to buy.

The 2X2A iteration was developed "for applications critical as to severe shock and vibration" and is otherwise identical to 2X2. It does not have an X-ray blocking lead glass envelope as erroneously claimed on some websites - concerns over consumer radiological protection didn't impact on valve manufacturers for a good twenty years after the development of 2X2A.

That datasheet for the 3A3C is really something! So, if the heater failed, and the LOPT had some shorted primary turns, and you are like my dad constantly in front of the TV, you could have problems?

Proud Mary, the only problem is that i haven't any money whatsoever, and finding a job around here is very difficult. So, i really cannot pick and choose what tube i want. Sort of unfortunate frown.

Pauleddy, What would you want in return for that single tube? I also have a bunch of heatsinks. Way too many tongue.

Sorry, i have not seen that there where any more comments, i guess i rely too much on the green dots!

Read the first post for stuff i have. I would be willing to trade a halfbridge brick or ignition coil or something of equal value, provided you know the tube has a strong vacuum.... For all trades we each pay our own shipping, because sending money is the main reason i cannot just buy tubes.

If anyone has an actual X-ray tube, or a shunt stabilizer tube such as the 6VS-1, i am very interested!

You'll want to use the 6VS-1 tube if you want to take any decent radiographs. It's a shunt stabilizer tetrode, and it has a very small focal spot. Here is some more info about it Link2

Freitsu has a bunch he'd like to get rid of, and I'm pretty sure plazmatron does too.

Edit: Whoops I missed the remark in OP about them. Derp.
