@radiotech: the flux density u worked out is at 1.407 T.

It is much higher for a High Voltage Transformer.

CRNO saturates at 1.5 T. I am assuming 1.25T as operating flux density.

334 turns primary, 7268 turns secondary.@ 230 V, 50 Hz AC supply.
Area : 24.768 inch sq.

We must be talking about a different area . My Ac is the area
of the top of the core that the windings are on. Was your number square centimeters?
Your ratio numbers look good. Are you going to build your own core ? Have you got a link to tables for your CNRO, it isnt on my tables (old books ).
Also, what insulation systems will you be testing and will the tests be at 50Hz.? My bogey was 60 Hz. What type of wire will you be winding with? What city are you in?

@radiotech: Hey sorry for the wrong units. The core area is 24.768 sq. cms.

I am in Mumbai, India.

I will be using laminations from a local vendor. CRNO core. I do not have a table of cores. I have a bobbin former on which winding will be done. The conductor would be copper conductor coated with varnish insulation.

It would be useful if you got the spec of the core material from your vendor and posted it here. He should be able to tell you saturation flux density, watts per kilogram core loss, and so on.

India is 240 volt, 50Hz.
