so because it's pll i can't draw arc's to a grounded object?

This sounds like noise in the driver, had similar issues with my SSTCs which was solved by some proper shielding in a metal case for the driver...

found the problem, it was the grounding :)
didn't have a good ground.
now i can even touch the arc's

at 1Bps o fcourse, or else i would cook my finger :D

hi R v.d. Tuuk, did you design your coil around the coil that Daniel Eindhoven made? It is a cool and easy design it reminds me of a armstrong oscillator. I wonder if C1 and C2 and L1 are resonant with the secondary or if they should be?

no i toke the the idea of the current transformer for the feedback instead of the antenna (transformer works more reliably for me)

Not bad. I'm using the antenna and am still having a few issues myself. Maybe someday I will take the time to finish the darn thing.
