Anyone care to solve s=ut + 1/2 at^2 or whatever it is for about 1800 feet and about 33 feet/sec squared?

Yes the fall would be long but what I meant was the time you actually spend dying would be relatively short

I heard one of our old members just fractured his spine falling off a rock climb in the Peak District. Apparently he got away without any permanent damage.

Can't guarantee not to fall. Even while climbing stairs or walking.

Good to hear he recovered. It's a risk you take while rock climbing. There are always things that can happen, your job to minimalize that chance. Most of the times you succeed sometimes you don't.

 		Urgh! That was hard to watch. The worst bit was when he was relying on just the bottom part of the aerial next to the beacon to hold him.
