2 isnt too bad, but it sucks that the rest was thrown out!
I really cant understand why people would throw out perfectly good caps!

How did you manage to destroy it?
My deepest condolences for your Lead box, Im sure it served you well...

Sledgehammer, a coffee can, a propane burner, a muffin pan. It was too big and heavy to ship to someone anyway.

Besides, now I have a big pile of ingots to cast into whatever I want.

I'm going to call some appliance places and neon sign shops today and see what I can get.

Not sure if I read you right, muffins? You saying we should hollow out a microwave capacitor and make it into a muffin pan to have MOC muffins with frosting top/terminals?

If that's what you ment, that would be cool! The first muffin made to be a capacitor, someone should do it for laughs :)

But your lucky!!! I emailed a near by recycling place that takes microwaves, I asked them for some caps or transformers and they told me "Sorry, our insurance doesn't allow that" :( So much for that, have to use eBay now!

?? I broke up the box with a sledgehammer, melted it in a coffee can, then poured it in a muffin pan.

I also just realized, today's saturday. All the appliance and sign shops are closed. I'll have to call them monday...

Ah I see now. I may try calling the place by me. I wad told if you email them, they don't know if your an agent trying to get them in trouble for giving out stuff, but if you walk in, it's more Lilly they will see your doing it for a project and allow it :)
