This is for all the UK people here.
I am going to the UK on the 14. of September and I'll be staying there for about 10 days.
I am thinking of buying the new iPhone 4. But since there is a 3 week waiting period I can't.
So my question is, is it possible to order the phone and have it wait for me at an apple store?

Thanks.

Yeah, apple overprices everything! I say go with the new droid. You won't be disappointed.

I'm a Ipod touch user...But I've messed with both HTC and Galaxys and android (friends phones) and I still much rather my 3G touch over those phones. I guess its more personal feel, but since I've been with the touch series since 1G, I find the 3 phones I listed to be horrible. Without a doubt from whats on the market I plan to get a Iphone 4 when the new services are out next year, and get a 3G/4G connection only - No phone service, and get skype.

So again, personal feel :)
Most stores will let you try a phone too...

I've read about all those phones. Tried the Galaxy S. And I've pretty much made up my mind cheesey.
So now there is just the matter if I can order it and have it wait for me at the store, or if a UK resident can order it right at the store for me.

We don't know anything about Andrew's criteria for selecting a phone, so suggesting he get something else is probably not very helpful. I personally wouldn't touch an iPhone with a ten foot pole, but my needs from a phone do not match everyone else's.

Andrew, is having someone order it online for you not an option?

Well not really, because it would have to be shipped to a UK residence and prepaid.
As I said, is it possible for someone to go to the store and order it to the store and when it comes in I could go there, pay for it and get it.
Does anyone know if that is possible ?

Oh come on wont anyone go to an iStore in the UK for me and ask ? angry
I happen to be an Apple fan with the unfortunate disadvantage of not having an iStore in the country.
