Damn government trying to take our lightbulbs now 
Time to go to the store and stock up on incan bulbs while I still can. Personally I like the warmth of incans and the instant turn on for places like bedrooms and bathrooms etc. The only places where I use cfl bulbs are where the light will be left on for an extended amount of time.

The incand lamp was brought to perfection through the dissemenation of technology under the MAZDA trademark and institute licencing (GE Edison) about 80 years ago. The CFL is better economically since it draws in expensive technology and uses plastic. It is far from reaching the stage incands did as far as commerce . The Penning technology is as close to practical use of
quantum atomic physics as we have gotten.
So the challenge is there. Start thinking. Build a better light source. Apart from H2 and He we really dont know where most of the universe is and how to use it. How about reversing the entropy of light?
