The problem is that if something is profitable then often safety gets pushed to the back of the queue. Case in point, a little while ago they said that dental x-rays were completely safe, now we know they increase the risk of thyroid cancer.

Yet another concern for the poor people in Africa who salvage waste electronic equipment for a living, burning circuit boards could be a signficant BPA outgassing hazard as well as the lead and other noxious fumes..
