Okay, I got a mystery component, and hundreds of em!

They are made by Motorala and the part number is SJ2709 with 352 underneath it.

They are transistors in TO-39 case with (gold!?!) plated bottom and leads.

Any ideas?

Why do you think they are transistors and if they are, what is the EB forward voltage? NPN? , PNP ?

If not, do two of the leads seem to show a short in both directions?

Sorry for lack of info, they are NPN transistors, I don't know how to test the EB forward voltage. And the lead that is connected to the case, I assumed that would be the collector..?

BE voltage can be measure with a 'DIODE TEST' that is found on many low cost DMM's.

~~0.6 volts - Silicon

' ~~0.2 volts - Germanium

IF two leads seem to shorted it may be a SCR.

Ahh thanks, I have tested them again. They are NPN silicon transistors and they are no shorted leads.

I got several 8 pin Dip IC's labled 355AJ/CJ 7806 in my parts bin. They also have the Teledyne (TelCom Semiconductor) logo.

I have one for you all. I can't find the datasheets for these transistors. They're from 1960, and that's all I know.

The GE 213 could be replaced with a MPS2222A. There is at least one other GE4 by General Electric and your's isnt it.

Starting about 50 years ago there were about 12 fits-all transistors that could replace many and by 1970 those few could replace about 10,000 types. The 213 and the 4 were fits-all types made by GE to sell into the hobby market and the transistor radio repair market.

What would the antique radio crowd pay for these tubes?

Do you know what the maximum ratings are for them? And was the 213 npn or pnp? I cant read the list on the side of the chart. (it's blurry).

NEVERMIND EVERYONE! IGNORE THIS POST. THE NUMBERS WERE WORN OFF AND IT TURNED OUT IT WAS A 6BL6 NOT 3BL6.

Here is one that I would greatly appreciate a datasheet for.

Labeled Sylvania 3BL6 and stamped around the brass portion 205L4.

Thanks!
