All I'll say is the engravings were ordered by one of our mechanical engineers
And the control circuitry and switching isn't all that impressive, just lots of paralleled IGBT halfbridge modules running with a PWM freq of 5Khz. It's very loud though!

For the past century, most 175 kVA 60-Hz-to-50-Hz converters are rotating machines. Their efficiency, clean waveforms, and robustness are hard to beat with solid state converters. But I bet Avalanche's products are quieter, and never need to be oiled.
