Finn, JAVATC with some added math on paper works just about as well. And it's a lot less labor intensive. That's the biggest reason why I prefer JAVATC over scantesla.

I also say JavaTC has been the biggest help. I used to use Teslamap, but that was an older version. It was easier to use, but the calculated results did not seem to be as... in-depth.
the new tesla map (1.13) is better. the primary number of turns needed was wrong, but is now fixed.I used javatc once but i find it hard to use. why do you need to know the hight of the room?

The top of the room is also pretty much a ground plane. If you operate outside there is no need to enter anything. It helps get a more realistic secondary/toploading capacitance value.
