The feedback coil is ok or i must reduse the number of turns or use another wire?!!

Edit:Sorry i didnt see Mads Barnkob's post...
I have zalman thermal grease with zinc oxide...But my transistor in top is insulated!

hi i am ready to power up my driver so i want advices how to discharge and make safety the flyback after the test...I have read tha i must connect the big red wire with the grounded negative pin to make an arc...If you know any safety technique let me know!

Ahh...I tested the driver several times but i didnt succed to get any spark...I tested it with two transistors so i think the problem is primary coil..I have some questions:First of all i take the fbt from my tv with a soldering gun, maybe this created some problems to transformer? Also the tv didnt work so if the transformer have problem i can make it work with my own primary coil?

I have pulled quite a few LOPT's with a soldering iron - no problem. They have their pins spaced quite a bit away from the rectifier: I don't think heat from a soldiering system would harm it.
It's possible that the unit was defective to begin with but it's not that common; unless you KNOW that the TV didn't light up at all, etc. More often the driver is at fault. If things are going well you may often hear the high frequency squeal from the transistor. The way that I have started on many to test them was to make my primary and feedback coils an average of 3 & 8 turns, then experimented. However, I've seen SOME spark from almost anything, IF it's driver is functional.
Test if you are getting power to each point throughout your driver's connection, etc. That would be a good place to start.

Look to the driver as the issue. More often than not, that's the problem. I don't make drivers with wires all over the place for that reason. Once you get a working driver, neatly placed on a PC board, you can have confidence in it's operation. but if you have the wires all over a table, one small short or mis-connection will give you problems continually.

i made a 8 turns primary coil and nothing again...I think tha the problem is the transistors because i took them with soldering gun and made them too warm:/...I checked with a lamp the circuit and was ok..Anyway i will check again and i will buy a new transistor to try again!

Ps:The tv powered up but the screen was blank...so i think the problem maybe was flyback on the cathode...

well how high wattage is the soldering gun? the 150, 200 watt ones are quite powerful. but if you didn't catch the insulation on fire everything is Ok:-)

After some trials ι I accomplished to take a 2mm arc..First i use for primary and feedback coil a thick insulated wire and nothing(4 turn feedback 7primary),after i try to use thin magnet wire and i took the spark..The problem was the wire or something else?maybe thinner wire is better or no?Also how can i calculate the output volt?I use a 9 volt alcaline battery!

With approx 1A & 9 Vdc diminishing for battery wear I think you might be able to pull down 4mm given that your transformer is a high efficiency design & the battery is fresh.

If you desire something of arc, you are simply going to have to make a decision about input energy. I remember the uTube video you had a pointer to awhile back and that fellow had an extremely thin arc of less than a centimeter with a 9Vdc. I think it may be possible to get something like that IF you really worked at it but IF you want something that you can really work with, your power supply needs to grow somewhat. There is nothing wrong with using a battery, but try one with a bit more energy.

something else..I try this circuit with my old fbt from an tv and didnt take any arc after, i tried it with my new fbt from an old crt monitor and i took the 2mm arc!The flyblack from monitor is ok to supply a small tesla coil?(is the same design as the tv's fbt,the only difference is that it has a smaller ferite core!)

Ps:I am making a system of 6 1,5v batteries in serie to take 9 volt and some more ambers...I think this will be a little stronger than the 9 volt battery!

i took a little bit thin 1cm spark from8,5volt 10A system of batteries! How much voltage is the output?I will post some pictures later...
